What this role involves

Nium provides global infrastructure for real-time cross-border payments. We were founded on the mission to deliver the global payments infrastructure of tomorrow, today. Our platform enables banks, fintechs, and global businesses to move money instantly, everywhere.

Co-headquartered in San Francisco and Singapore with offices in 14 markets worldwide, we are entering one of the most exciting chapters in our journey. In March 2026, we delivered the largest month in our 11-year history with record revenue, record volumes, and EBITDA profitability. Today, Nium moves nearly $60B in payments annually, almost entirely for enterprises, while continuing to strengthen an already healthy balance sheet.

It is an incredible time to join us, and we are only just getting started.

Our payout network spans 190+ countries and 100 currencies, with 100 + corridors in real time. We power seamless transfers to accounts, wallets, and cards, support local collections in 35 markets, and as a principal card issuer on Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and UATP, Nium issues over 50 million card tokens every year. Backed by regulatory licenses in 40+ markets, we make it simple for our partners to onboard, integrate, and scale globally. This scale and innovation have earned us recognition as one of CNBC’s World’s Top Fintech Companies 2025, winner of Best Cross-Border Payments Solution at the PayTech Awards, and inclusion in FXC Intelligence’s Top 100 Cross-Border Payments Companies list.

In 2024, we raised US$50 million in Series E funding at a US$1.4 billion valuation to accelerate network expansion, product innovation, and talent growth. With the B2B payments market projected to hit US$175 trillion by 2030, Nium offers ambitious builders the chance to shape the future of global money movement with the scale of a leader and the energy of a high-growth company.

We are hiring a Senior Manager to take ownership of safeguarding for NIUM’s UK regulated entities, covering both emoney and payment services activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, Payment Services Regulations 2017, and the FCA’s CASS15 sourcebook. You will also make live decisions on UK cash management, diversification, and interest optimisation, working closely with Compliance and the Director of Safeguarding to keep UK processes aligned to group standards while staying compliant with UK-specific regulatory requirements.

Reconciliations & Controls

  • Perform day-to-day checker responsibilities over safeguarding reconciliations, ensuring breaks are identified and resolved promptly

  • Provide 4-eyes review of operational treasury work undertaken at group level, acting as a key control point

  • Maintain robust audit trails and documentation to support inspection and audit readiness

  • Champion automation of reconciliation and safeguarding processes, working with Product and Engineering to reduce manual effort and operational risk

About Figure

Figure (NASDAQ: FIGR) is transforming capital markets through blockchain. We’re proving that blockchain isn’t just theory - it’s powering real products used by hundreds of thousands of consumers and institutions.

By combining blockchain’s transparency and efficiency with AI-driven automation, we’ve reimagined how loans are originated, funded, and traded in secondary markets. From faster processing times to lower costs and reduced bias, our technology is helping borrowers, investors, and financial institutions achieve better outcomes.

Together with our 170+ partners, we’ve originated over $22 billion in home equity loans (HELOCs) on our blockchain-native platform, making Figure the largest non-bank provider of home equity financing in the U.S. Figure’s ecosystem also includes YLDS, an SEC-registered yield-bearing stablecoin that operates as a tokenized money market fund, and several other products and platforms that are reshaping consumer finance and capital markets.

We’re proud to be recognized as one of Forbes’ Most Innovative Fintech Startups in 2025 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in Finance and Personal Finance.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Director of Treasury & Financial Operations to drive coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and operational efficiency for our growing team. This role bridges the gap between strategy and execution; you will handle and improve recurring core financial workflows alongside the team, while functionally managing the daily division of labor to ensure seamless execution.

This position is ideal for an ambitious operator who thrives on building efficient systems, enjoys the fast-paced world of FinTech, and is looking for a role with a direct, earned pathway to a Director-level position.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect and implement scalable funds flows and operational workflows for new FinTech products and pilot programs, providing cross-functional support to the Capital Markets and Revenue-related areas of the business.
  • Quarterback the daily rhythm of the analyst team, managing responsibilities and the division of labor without replacing their direct connection to leadership.
  • Own daily treasury operations, ensuring the flawless execution of high-volume wire transfers, ACH movements, cash reconciliations, and remittance reporting.
  • Drive automation of the remittance reporting process through collaboration with our Servicing & Data teams
  • Further strengthen and enhance treasury-related controls in a public company & SOX-compliant environment
  • Identify operational bottlenecks in current wire processes and build efficiencies to optimize overall team capacity.
  • Serve as a proactive communication bridge, translating day-to-day technical challenges upward to leadership and distilling strategic goals downward to the team.
  • Support the execution of TopCo capital raising and investor engagement initiatives

What We Look For

  • 8–10 years of experience in financial operations or treasury, specifically within a fast-paced FinTech or high-growth financial services company; deep FinOps experience, particularly in the mortgage servicing space, preferred.
  • Proven experience designing payment infrastructure, new product operational flows of funds, and navigating modern payment rails (Wires, ACH, etc.).
  • Demonstrated capability to mentor and guide team workflows through functional leadership and collaborative influence.
  • A hands-on professional who thrives “in the weeds” of daily execution and possesses sharp risk judgment under tight daily deadlines.
  • Experience in SOX-compliant environments
  • The ambition and operational execution required to quickly step up into a broader leadership capacity.
  • Adhere to all company security policies and data handling procedures.
  • Complete mandatory security awareness training within required timeframes.
  • Promptly report any suspected security incidents or suspicious activity to the Security team.

Salary

  • Base Compensation Range: $161,000-$218,500/yr
  • 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly
  • Company equity in the form of RSUs

This is the compensation range for the role in the United States. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, internal equity, and evolving business needs. While most offers are generally made within the middle of the range, final compensation is determined based on the factors above.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plans

Company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, 401(k), and commuter benefits

Employer-paid life and disability insurance
